Sunday morning I had the pleasure of meeting and spending some time with Eddie, Lisa, Alex, and Colin at Losco Park. This was such a fun session for me. The weather was perfect and the location is absolutely "picturesque", but I think the boys were more partial to the playground than the scenery. Here are a few of my favorites of this beautiful family.

Lisa is absolutely gorgeous!

I love this picture!! Too cute!

So adorable!

My absolute favorite picture of the day.

It's been a month and a day since these two cool kids were blissfully wed in Kingsland, Georgia. Totally laidback and up for anything, Jenn and Jake were so much fun to work with. More to come soon, but for now one of my favorite shots from their first dance!

And just in case you are wondering, I looked up awesome in the dictionary and this is what I saw:

Awesome \ˈȯ-səm\ adjective
— awe·some·ly adverb
— awe·some·ness noun
1 a: terrific, extraordinary
2: Jenn and Jake

As promised, these are the portraits from Ro and Bob's fabulous wedding at Hammock Beach, which I shot with Alison Miller in October. Many thanks to Ro and Bob for allowing me to be a part of their day!

Ro an Bob opted for a first look. Oh how I love first looks!

Ro's parents had their own accidental first look with the happy couple. :)

Obstacles CAN make for fabulous pictures!

The last picture of the day. ...and my favorite, I swear!

I have a hard time choosing favorites. In the past twenty years I've had eleven favorite colors (many of them more than once), twenty-four favorite pairs of shoes, sixteen favorite foods, nine favorite restaurants, and thirty-two favorite singers. Surely history repeats itself as today is no exception. I counted them, and found that I had twenty-eight favorite pictures from Ro and Bob's wedding, which I shot with Alison Miller last month at Hammock Beach. Such a sweet couple on a really gorgeous day.

I love details!

As it is the eve of the 2008 Presidential Election, I wanted to do something political for today's Pic[k] of the Day. I took this picture at a Presidential rally here in Jacksonville a few months ago. I love the framing of this picture, which I captured while taking some test shots with my long lens.

My friends, the name's Bond. James Bond.

I once read that photos in which there are no clear cut definitions to identify the subjects are those which are most striking to your audience. For a time, I wasn't entirely sure if that was true. As I began to experiment with the prospect of anonymous photos, I found that there are basically two purposes for photography. One is to preserve the memory of something that has already happened. The other is to allow those who weren't there to imagine themselves in that place and that time, not withholding emotion. If these two things are present, then my work is not done but simply is just beginning.

It's finally here. Chipotle is open in Jacksonville! Call me crazy, but I've been counting down the days. Oh Chipotle, your cilantro-lime rice steamed to perfection and nestled deep in my burrito bowl under pinto beans, marinated grilled chicken, perfect pico de gallo, and the ever essential "cheese and lettuce," is divine. I'd wait in line in the "Florida cold" any day for your assembly line gourmet. $5.95 has never tasted better.
